Seats
Most 3 wheel double buggies are initially single pushchairs, but some models can be converted to accommodate a second seat or carrycot using adapters (these are more commonly found in tandem buggies). You'll also find that some models allow you to add a ride-on board to older children who want to walk but still need a little help.

Suspension
The quality of the suspension in a triple buggy is crucial to how it is easy for you and your baby/s to push. A smooth ride is crucial as babies can feel every bump on the road, especially if it's in rough terrain such as grass or paths that aren't paved. Some models also have front wheels that lock to assist with maneuvering and getting over obstacles like curbs.
Some models have tyres with air filled which are ideal for all-terrain rides, but they can be prone punctures. Make sure you have a spare set of tyres inside the trunk. Some models have foam or gel-filled tyres that are designed to absorb bumps. They are less likely to puncture, but they might be uncomfortable for your child if you decide to jog.

MFM reviewer Kath tested the Urban Glide 2 with her toddler and newborn and found it extremely capable on terrain that is difficult to navigate. "It was able to effortlessly navigate grass and bumpy sidewalks cobbles, dirt tracks and was easy to maneuver around corners and climb up or down kerbs." Folding
A three-wheeled double buggy can be folded up easily for storage. In general the more wheels a buggy comes with the more comfortable it will be to handle over rough terrain. This is especially true if the wheels are bigger than the average size. You will have more stability and it will be less likely that you will need to tip over or flip your child.
